Homebirth Midwifery Services
As a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), I provide complete, individualized care for families choosing to welcome their babies at home. My care is grounded in respect for the physiology of birth, evidence-based practice, and deep trust in the body’s innate wisdom.
Midwifery care is about partnership. Together, we create a relationship built on informed choice, mutual respect, and continuity — from your first prenatal visit through the early postpartum weeks and beyond.
Prenatal Care
Prenatal visits follow the typical obstetric schedule: monthly until 32 weeks, bi-monthly until 36 weeks, and then weekly until birth. Our visits are schedule for an hour and aim to be relaxed, unhurried, and focused on the whole person, including your physical, emotional, and nutritional wellbeing.
We’ll monitor the health of both you and your baby through standard assessments, lab work, and conversation. Each visit is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and prepare for the journey ahead.
You’ll receive guidance on nutrition, movement, common discomforts, and natural ways to support your changing body. I also provide childbirth education tailored to your needs and preferences.
Labor & Birth
When labor becomes progressive, I come to your home and stay throughout your birth. My role is to expect normal, observing variations, while protecting the sacred space of birth. I bring clinical tools and emergency medications, along with presence, calm, and encouragement.
Homebirth allows you to move freely, eat and drink as you wish, and birth in your own rhythm. I monitor both you and your baby throughout labor and after birth, helping ensure a smooth transition for your new family.
Postpartum & Newborn Care
Midwifery care continues for you and your baby for a full 6 weeks after birth. I return to your home for several postpartum visits to check on healing, emotional wellbeing, breastfeeding, and newborn adjustment.
You’ll have access to me for questions and support as your body recovers and your confidence grows.
Scope of Practice
As a Certified Professional Midwife, I am trained and equipped to provide:
Comprehensive prenatal, birth, and postpartum care
Routine lab work and newborn screening
Management of normal variations in pregnancy and birth
Initial newborn examination
Collaboration and referral when a higher level of care is indicated
My Philosophy
I believe birth is a natural, transformative process — not a medical event. My role is to blend clinical skill with intuitive support, creating an environment where safety and serenity coexist.
Homebirth midwifery is not about doing less — it’s about doing what’s needed with mindfulness and respect.
Additional, optional services
Placenta Encapsulation: $250. Pills, tinctures, prints, and keepsakes available.
Childbirth Education classes: $250. I offer a one or two session comprehensive course focused on your homebirth experience. Especially useful for first time parents, or those planning their first homebirth after hospital birth experiences. These classes are private and on your timeline.
Referral services: complementary. Our relationship doesn’t end with our contract. If you find, down the line, that you could benefit from pelvic floor therapy, a PPD/PPA therapist, nutrition guidance, chiropractic care, massage therapy, or any other service, I will help you find just the right person for your needs.
